Hunter is working researching information for an enclosure for the Arduino Yun and the 8-port USB serial adapter. One issue he has come up with is finding one that works with the 8-port hub and the Arduino. Finally, he decided on a 10x8x5 inch weatherproof industrial NEMA 4X enclosure.
Jerin and Heather are working with two different aspects of the MYSQL database. Specifically, Jerin's goal is writing collected data to a MYSQL table in a MYSQL database, and Heather's is to simply set up that database – a task that has proved to not be quite so simple. She created a PHP admin account which will make the process easier. Ben, who is very experienced with coding, came in to Watershed today and is helping Jerin and Heather.
Meanwhile, Stuart is learning how to use plot.ly, which is a collabora tive data analysis and graphing tool that updates in real time. Plot.ly is compatible with Python and Arduino, both of which our class is very familiar with. Stuart hopes to figure out how to use plot.ly in the context of our project– to display the data we receive in a practical and aesthetically pleasing way on a website. Right now he is using Python to make graphs with plot.ly.
